Disco Dancing Origami Tessellation

Origami Tesellation: Disco Dancing

This origami tessellation is similar to another I created called 'Space Invaders'. It uses the same starting point, but then I add extra triangle tucks to tease out a somewhat different pattern.

Apparently, I have three different tessellations which I have named 'Space Invaders' over the years. My bad.

The center is an open back hexagon with right triangles spinning around it.

From there, I add sets of three triangle tucks before repeating the pattern. This configurations also creates rhombus twists on the opposite side.

I do have a diagram, although I don't yet have it uploaded. Will add it soon.

Tessellations such as this always look pretty intense and complicated, but in reality they are pretty straightforward. They can be difficult to execute. Sturdy paper makes that less of an issue.

On the back side there are some tricky folds. There's a lot of overlapping. So it can be tough to get things to fall into place. If you're determine, your efforts will be rewarded.
