Parquet Origami Flagstone Tessellation

Parquet Tessellation

This is a pretty nifty little flagstone tessellation that I recently thought up and folded.

Basically, it's a series of long parallelograms connected in a recurring wave formation.

The same pattern can be done with rhombuses. And has been done, by others and myself. But it has a different, cooler look when you use the longer shapes.

It's an intricate looking design that uses a fairly simple pattern.

On the back side, it's all triangle twists.

Most flagstone tessellations don't back light very well, but this one does.

It's a moderately difficult tessellation. If only because it requires so many creases.

I have a crease pattern. Just need to add it.

Although, it's not at all difficult to discern how to fold it.
